Food Art~ Deutsch Apfel-Pfannkuchen

The Mega View - Robin

Sometimes you have to step back and look at the big picture.

I took this en route to Florida last year. It's so easy to take pix from the air. You just have to clean up the levels in Photoshop to take out the scratchy plastic window. Try it next time you fly.

Rain Circles - Rachel

Today I had errands to run and deliveries to make and when I awoke to the sound of rain on my roof I simply thought "Oh dear, not today!". In the end the weather was kind to me, clearing around the time I had to carry 5 cases of Girl Scout cookies through the streets of San Francisco. It also provided me with these lovely circles of rain ripples and light. Yeah rain!

Bear in Mind

This is my very first attempt at free form biomorphic imagery. I recieved an A on this piece and was stunned to do so. During the class, my work was going so badly that I thought for sure I was going fail. But after we took it home to work on and then brought it back for our final, my professor had the entire class put all their works up. When he asked which piece had the most change from when it began, all hands pointed to me. I was so scared he was going to say how awful it was, instead it opened a door for me and the rest is history.
This one is called Bear in Mind. Can you see him?

Two Rocks - Rachel

Food Art~ Chicken

I love to cook and for some crazy reason love photographing the process. Cooking and food is a big part of my upbringing and culture. Food in our family and it's preparation was a way of communication. Food preparation is an art form that can fulfill many senses.

My art for Monday is in the creative process of cooking~ Lemon, Garlic, Fresh herb Chicken and Roasted Potatoes in lemon, thyme, rosemary and garlic. Everyone should learn how to make a good roast chicken. It's a simple easy satisfying meal.
