Silhouette - Rachel
Acrylic on paper. I have these fabulous photos of a blue jay in silhouette and wanted to use them in some way so I tried my hand at painting with acrylic again. Clearly I had some frustrations here: Blending, not blending, trying to capture the "final" result, etc. At least I like the results of the silhouette itself. I can only begin to imagine the frustrations Amy was experiencing with oils...

I love it Rachel, you used some of my favorite alive and vibrant colors. You should frame this one and I think you'll be surprised at how the painting just pops.
