Music Note


This was the background of a painting that I did for a music store down south. I smoked in the background using white, black, burnt sienna all mixed into various shades.

    Thanks for posting this. I have never done an underpainting or painted with black for that matter, so it's interesting to see the process. Would this be considered grisaille? It's fascinating to see the process. How long do you spend on this part or a painting in general?
