Pop Art Self Portrait - Amy

Oil Paint on Canvas. I took a self portrait image with my Mac set on the "pop art" effects and then set out to do a painting using only the 3 colors. Overall, I am happy with the results. I wanted to take a stab  at the oil paints again. Working on a larger surface helps! They are still messy. Got a nice splotch of yellow on my jeans. Why didn't I wear my apron? I'll hold back on my critique - other then to say "Measure three times, cut once." That's all I will say.

Just Me - Rachel

I guess I was feeling a bit introspective today, so I (who rarely get in front of the lens) decided to try some self-portraiture. Interesting exercise. There was something really appealing to me about the slight overexposure here.

It's Robin's birthday!

Happy Birthday to me! Happy Birthday to me! Happy Birthday Dear me-ee!
Happy Birthday to me! On that note (haha), it's self portrait day!

Today is also the day that many weird and famous people were born such as Ronald Reagan, Zsa Zsa Gabor and Bob Marley. I am pleased to note that I also share my special day with my new hero, Michael Pollan. Happy Birthday Michael!
