Check out this mosaic self portrait I created. I used family photos I have taken (except those that I'm in) and the self portrait as the main image. So much fun!
This quarter is almost history!!!!!

Orange Flower (Weed)- Robin
I am trying to get a few more flowers done for my current portfolio. Not sure if I'll include this one but I like it. This is my aesthetic. I like the dreamy watercolor affect and i like the colors a lot. It makes me want to nap. Not sure if that's a good thing or not. :-)
It's funny how such horribly noxious weeds begin as such delicate and fragile looking flowers.

Time away from time - Robin
I'm letting my hand colored Time project dry and so I decided to get some stuff ready to print for my little show/sale coming up. Here are a couple I really like with the watercolor filter. What do you think?
Now I'm going to try and get a decent scan of my 11x 17 Time project. Back later.

You can never have enough Peonies - Robin
In lieu of being able to go back to Filoli this week I am revisiting the photos I took last week.
I thought I'd share this one with you!

Forget-Me-Not ~ Rachel
Forget-me-nots hold a tender place in my heart. Small and delicate but plentiful in their abundance, they can light up a field or planting bed, filling it in and making it whole. Likewise, memories fill the holes in my heart, the spaces left by those who are gone and will never be again but who always live brightly in my heart.

Importance of Window Cleaning~
Your assumptions are your windows on the world. Scrub them off every once in a while, or the light won't come in. (Alan Alda)
The importance of window cleaning is often overlooked. It's good practice to clean your windows and scrub your ideas so that fresh light can shine on you and help you grow. It's time for me to do some window cleaning again. I love when windows are clean and the fresh light shines in, as a matter of fact I love to clean all my reflective surfaces often and I instantly can feel the lightness it brings and fresh energy.
The vision of this photo was through Robins great eye! Thanks Robin

Another Wacky GIANT Poppy - Robin
Lori is right about the poppies we saw at Filoli yesterday. They were gigantic and gorgeous. It's always fun to discover something new that you've never seen before in nature. I wish I had my macro lens and my tripod. I want to go back next week. Anyone want to come with?

Spring Break! - Robin
We're off early tomorrow to San Diego until Friday. Of course the weather is going downhill fast but we'll still have fun with my baby boy (turning 30 on May 1st!) and my sweet Lily. I'll see you on my return!
This is another classic spring scene for me. I hope you like it!

The Flower Thief (Robin) Strikes Again!
This time it was wildflowers found on a hike. Again I know it's wrong but I only took one of each type. To pay me back, most died before I even got home. :-(
I am continuing to play against colored glass and I really like it. It's kinda like painting.
Let me know what you think. And Lori, tell me what the flower is. Thanks!

Ranaca laca laca
Ranunculus is such a funny word/name and very hard to pronounce and remember. When I first fell for them many, many years ago, me and my dearest friend could never remember the name and we would play with the word, saying you know those Ranaca laca coulouses, well still to this day that memory floods my mind when I see these beautiful spring rhizomes.
Ranunculus come in such fun vibrant colors and make the most beautiful bouquets and cut arrangements. They are just one more reason to love spring.

My Room with a view~ Lori Singer
My room with a view is not unlike my life. There are stones turned wonky, stones that are broken, some straight and in place, but as a whole the picture is pleasing to me. My life is, just a life nothing great in comparison so some, but holds a beautiful light that keeps my heart in the right place when life's "weeds" try to invade. The golden light not unlike the golden Daffs let me know that the path I lead is the right one for me.
We each have our own path and there should be no shame, blame or ridicule because we each can choose our unique own path. We know we are on the right path when our life to is filled with golden light even in the dark places, we feel a beam of warm light that keeps us open to the better days. For now I pull the weeds that try to invade the deepest part of my existence and send me down a wrong path.
Life is but a ton of choices and we can choose to be who we are and we cannot change how our view is misinterpreted, but we can choose to make choices, somedays we fail, others we grow and move further down our own personal path.

Where will my path lead? ~ Lori Singer
Where will my path lead me? I've been doing a lot of wondering about path and where it might lead. Reading, thinking, collecting of thoughts. hmmmm?
